Overview:
Express Auto Finance is currently seeking an Account Manager to fill a role in our Collections team in Kalamazoo.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of delinquent accounts and fasilitating payment collections.
We are looking for individuals who are adept at handling dynamic work environments, engaging with diverse clientele, and navigating challenging situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts, contacting customers to facilitate payment collections and payment arrangements.
* Utilize various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, to engage with customers and address payment-related issues.
* Process payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant credit regulation requirements.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to account management.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment activities using our online collections system.
* Handle multiple applications simultaneously to complete various tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in finance or related field is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confrontational situations with professionalism and assertiveness.
* Proficiency in using phones, computers, and online applications for multitasking between multiple tasks.
* Ability to work independently and meet performance targets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Resilience and adaptability to navigate challenging customer interactions and manage stress effectively.
* Previous experience in debt collection or a related field preferred, but not required.
