, one of the leading firms in Southwest Michigan, has provided quality accounting, tax management, assurance and consulting services to individuals and businesses in a variety of industries.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven team player with 3+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax accounting engagements for a diverse client base.
*Responsibilities:* * Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses * Lead engagements throughout all aspects of accounting including tax research and financial statement review * Review payroll and payroll tax preparation * Develop and cultivate professional client relationships *Qualifications:* * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting * 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility * CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license * Working knowledge of GAAP with proficiency reviewing individual and business income tax returns and financial statement preparation * Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service and PC skills including MS Office and tax & accounting software proficiency (Thomson Reuters CS proficiency is a plus) * Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize projects, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment _*What’s important to us?*_ * Providing our staff with high level training and opportunity for growth * A reasonable balance of life and work including time for family and yourself * Creating a positive culture where each individual can learn and grow and is acknowledged for their contributions to the continued success of the company We provide a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, HSA and 401K plan.
