The Accountant / Sr.
Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day financial administration and reporting for KA.
This individual is a key member of the administrative team and works closely with the accounting firm to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, payables, and payroll, as well as liaising with the revenue cycle team to ensure accurate and timely receivables.
This individual may also be involved in improving accounting processes.
The role will report to the Chief of Staff for management purposes, and the fractional CFO for operational purposes; job title (Accountant vs.
Sr.
Accountant) to be determined based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and tasks accurately and routinely
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles
Provide additional financial reporting and analysis as requested by COO or other leaders
Manage vendor relationship with accounting firm
Liaise with Revenue Cycle team to ensure accurate and timely receivables
Maintain financial policies and documentation
Ensure appropriate internal controls and use of GAAP principles to safeguard assets, minimize risk, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with appropriate regulations
Coordinate budget process
Assist with audits and tax return preparation as needed
Manage cash as directed by COO
Partner with IT to manage financial systems and system vendors
Stay current on accounting best practices, regulations, and software changes
All other duties as assigned by manager
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
3-5 years work experience, or more, in accounting or finance role
Healthcare experience is a plus

Salary Range
$60K to $85K base + benefits
