KVCC is seeking a Payroll Accountant who is knowledgeable in accounting policies and procedures.
This individual will work with employees and supervisors to answer payroll questions as well as process payroll and any necessary adjustments and corrections.
Additional responsibilities include:
Review and analyze time sheets and leave reports to ensure accuracy, work with employees and supervisors to correct errors, and follow steps to run the payroll process in a timely manner.
Reconcile payroll accounts and reports to ensure accuracy; including tax withholding, retirement contributions, garnishments, etc.
Maintain payroll master file; prepare, update and analyze reports relating to payroll; prepare journal entries, and prepare payroll related audit work papers.
Calculate, prepare and remit direct deposit files, tax withholdings, garnishments and other payroll deductions.
Prepare and submit local, state and federal tax returns quarterly/annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are requirements for this position.
An example of this would be an Associate degree in accounting or a related field, and two years of related payroll experience.

Work Hours: Core business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Longer hours may be needed occasionally.
