The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for providing administrative support to the Transportation Supervisor.
This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Transportation front office.
Position will ensure the administrative needs of the department are met in an efficient and timely manner.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
· High School Diploma or GED with two (2) or more years of office experience preferred.
· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but not required (training can be provided).
· Previous school transportation experience is preferred, but not required.
· Experience using Google Suite
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Greet employees and visitors to the office while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
· Uses proper business etiquette to answer phone calls and emails, responds to presenting needs and provides appropriate responses and referrals.
· Assists in all aspects of routing, using the current software program; update, print, and distribute routes daily.
· Communicate and assist drivers daily.
· Respond to bus drivers’ radio communications and requests.
· Responsible for coordinating all aspects of field trips and athletic trips.
· Inputs data for billing purposes.
· Assists drivers in the management of student discipline.
· Be able to sub on bus routes, as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *
· Occasionally required to remain in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods of time.

· Requires constant repetition of motions that include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
· Occasionally assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
