As a lead preschool teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with children from 3 to 5 years of age.
A Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate is required for this position.
We are looking for a teacher who can relate joyfully and sensitively to children, can show emotional maturity and stability, and is capable of creating a safe learning atmosphere while handling situations with good judgement and care for all.
Educators must be flexible, patient and understanding to both children and adults, and must be capable of working as a team with other lead teachers.
Lead Preschool Teacher responsibilities require:
--Stamina and agility (including lifting children 25lbs, climbing stairs, as well as sitting and kneeling)
--Awareness of children at all times
--Interaction with children individually and in small groups
--Facilitating activities in sensory stimulation, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive development, and play activities
--Establishing and maintaining good, positive communication with parents on a daily basis.
--Care for preschoolers' physical needs (including feeding, diapering, sleeping, as well as disease symptom assessment)
If you have a degree in an unrelated field, we do offer assistance in obtaining your Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate.
