As a preschool aide, you will have the opportunity to work with children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Previous preschool aide experience is preferred but NOT required! We are looking for an aide who can relate joyfully and sensitively to children, can show emotional maturity and stability, and is capable of creating a safe learning atmosphere while handling situations with good judgement and care for all.
Aides must be flexible, patient and understanding to both children and adults, and must be capable of working as a team with other lead teachers.
Preschool aide responsibilities require:
--Stamina and agility (including lifting children 25lbs, climbing stairs, as well as sitting and kneeling)
--Awareness of children at all times
--Interaction with children individually and in small groups
--Facilitating activities in sensory stimulation, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive development, and play activities
--Establishing and maintaining good, positive communication with parents on a daily basis.
--Care for preschoolers' physical needs (including feeding, diapering, sleeping, as well as disease symptom assessment)
Must be able to work opening or closing shifts (7:30 - 9:30 AM or 3 - 5:30 PM)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.
00 - $15.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
