Summer Camp Night Security

_*$15 per hour*_ * _*must be able to work MORE THAN 40 HOURS A WEEK*_ * _*MUST NOT be enrolled for Summer I or II courses at WMU*_ *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Must have the dedication, alertness and drive to work long nights.
* Must have the dedication, stamina and drive to work long days.
* Patrol residence hall hallways and stairwells.
* Operate night security station/post.
* Ability to work with diverse youth, middle or high school students.
* Notify program staff of any breach of security.
* Report all incidents to program staff verbally and in a written report.
* Provide overall summer program support for the summer camp.
* Adhere to program staff policies and procedures.
* Attend all staff meetings.
* All other tasks, as assigned.
* *Mandatory training from June 10 to June 12, 2024.
(8am - 6pm)* * *GEAR UP Michigan College Tour Summer Camp (overnight camp):* * *June 17 to June 20, 2024.
(11PM AM - 7AM PM, full-time/overtime pay, cannot leave work site)* * *Upward Bound/GEAR UP Out of State College Tour Trip July 29th-August 2nd, 2024 (11PM-7AM)* * Attendance at any additional meetings will be required and scheduled as needed.
*SKILLS AND ABILITIES* * Has the ability to handle multiple tasks and see them through completion.
* Experience in working with youth, middle or high school students.
* First response abilities.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Excellent decision making skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
*Preferences* *GPA* 2.
