ROI is beginning a search for a full-time, exempt status Chief Operating Officer position responsible for providing executive leadership and administrative oversight for the operational functions of ROI to optimize core functions across the organization and recommend new initiatives.
ROI is a non-profit organization employing approximately 400 staff and serving over 400 adults, children, and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with an annual budget of over $26 million.
Along with residential and independent living services serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the agency has multiple other service lines including premier residential treatment programs for children and adolescents with autism, outpatient behavioral treatment centers for individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as payee and affordable housing services.

*Responsibilities include*: Providing day to day leadership to foster a culture of accountability, care, and excellence; directing organizational, operational, and programmatic policies as set forth by the Board of Directors; implementing ROI’s strategic plan and associated programmatic strategies to advance the organization; championing and supporting ROI's philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism; ensuring agency-wide compliance with applicable laws and regulations, contractual obligations, and funding standards; and overseeing the operations of the Clinical Service, Contract Compliance, and Human Resources teams.
*Qualifications for the position include*: Master’s degree in human services, clinical psychology or healthcare industry or related field and 5 years of progressive leadership experience; or Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 7 years progressive leadership experience; or equivalent experience and qualifications as approved by the Chief Executive Officer.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation for non-profit organizations.
Demonstrated experience facilitating organizational change related to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism within organizational culture.
Proven experience of strategic planning, organizational capacity building, and managing program budgets in excess of 10M and the ability to simultaneously address a wide range of complex competing issues.
Human Resources experience and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses preferred.
Ability to attend (including providing own transportation) work-related obligations throughout the community.
