SUMMARY
Oversees powder coating operations to ensure operations are functioning in a safe, efficient manner in order to produce quality product on time.
This position may require overtime daily and may include weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Attends daily production meeting/s to obtain production schedule and priority.
Assigns workers to various stations in the department based on production schedule and production needs.
Troubleshoot production quality problems/and powder equipment issues as well as general function of the line, wash tanks and oven.
Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules such as adjusting line speed and oven temperature per part requirement.
Has the ability to read a blue print, powder TDS and work instructions to perform quality checks and package parts per spec.
Inspects Wash line for fallen parts, performs daily titrations.
Alerts supervisor for any materials, chemicals or powder that is needed to be placed on order.
Assists operators with daily duties such as loading, unloading and powder coating.
Trains operators in our production hours tracking system.
Maintains charts for daily quality checks, first and last pcs, mil thickness, gloss checks and scrap/rework.
Updates operator instructions through the continuous improvement process with the assistance of quality.
Suggests methods of motivating employees to achieve work goals.
Operates industrial fork truck(s) and pallet jack(s) as needed.
Completes daily tasks and communicates all issues through production meeting and Standard Work forms.
Oversees daily tasks of the powder coat line and reports any issues to direct supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees on the powder line.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees, conduct performance evaluations, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
Competency in basic ERP systems preferred.
