JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, coordinates and directs quality control program designed to ensure production of products consistent with established standards and customer requirements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for confirming quality and conformance to specification of incoming raw materials.
* Formulate and maintains quality and reliability expectancy of the finished product.
* Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine compliance with established standards and production capabilities.
* Directs, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.
* Generates and submits sample reports.
* Investigates, resolves and documents customer complaints regarding quality, initiates corrective actions and issues corrective action reports.
* Facilitates the APQP process along with Quality Tech.
* Tracks quality trends through customer complaints, returned product and nonconforming parts per million (ppm) data.
* Required to lead, support, and apply IATF 16949 and EMS 14001 environmental policies, procedures and work instructions as part of normal function.
Participates in setting measurables to continually improve management systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) or equivalent; or five years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, experience or ASQC certification.
IATF lead auditor and core tools competency required.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as the process capability index, the process potential index, all statistical calculations, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Ability to apply logical thinking to a range of problems.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
