Lead Medical Billing Specialist

Genesis Medical is seeking a well-rounded billing professional.
Position will transition into a full-time Lead Medical Billing Specialist following 90 days.
The position will provide assistance in managing clients and training employees as we expand our fast growing client portfolio.
Position is contract 1099, paid biweekly.
20-24 hours a week.
Opportunity to grow into a full time employee position after 90 days of employment.
Duties: - Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing - Utilize ICD-10 coding systems to accurately classify medical conditions - Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health medical billing or coding - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures - Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients \*\*Experience in Mental Health is required.
\*\*\*This position is hybrid and will require 1 day per week in the Three Rivers, MI office.
