Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, serving, meals to daycare children.
Kitchen manager duties also include efficient running of the kitchen, maintaining food quality and safety standards, maintaning cleaning procedures, managing inventory, and leading a team of kitchen staff.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and menu creation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for food preparation and cooking
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute banquet events
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or nursing home kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary principles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Proficient in inventory management and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
