At Southridge Church, the children’s ministry is a primary component of serving our church body and the community.
As the Children’s Ministry Director, you will be charged with the programming and development work needed for the role.
Another key component of this ministry is guiding the children into a personal walk with Christ.

This is a full-time (40 hour per week) position.
Work will be required to support the Sunday morning programming; evening work may be required at times.
The Children’s Ministry Director will work mainly with children from nursery - 5th grade and will collaborate with the Youth Ministry Director on programming and special events.

A major objective for this position is to lead consistent, high-quality children’s programming and model the love of Jesus to each child.
To accomplish this, the Children’s Ministry Director will need to demonstrate / exhibit the following:
* Ability to build and maintain committed teams of leaders and volunteers, meeting with them regularly and obtaining constructive feedback for continuous improvement
* High-energy personality and an approach that creates a dynamic environment to engage children and volunteers
* Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the Sunday morning children’s experience along with all necessary volunteers
* A heart for children and the desire for relationships with children and families
* Organized and efficient, especially with time management; an excellent communicator, responding to messages in a timely manner
* Choose, edit, and implement curriculum for nursery, pre-k, and 1st – 5th grades that foster the children’s spiritual growth
* A multi-tasking team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
* Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation
* Work closely with Youth Ministry Director to establish events for upcoming middle school students’ fluid transition to youth ministry
* Oversee Nursery and communicate regularly with Nursery Director
* Communicate with parents frequently
* Meet with parents or volunteers on an as-needed basis to support or address questions
* Participate in staff meetings, creative collaboration, and leadership retreats
* Primary Organizer for Vacation Bible School, Bible Boot Camp and other special events
* Create and implement serving opportunities within the church body for children
* Prepare and adhere to ministry budget
* Participate in church-wide events such as Fallapalooza, Jesus Loves Kalamazoo, and other discipleship events
The ideal team member will have the following:
* Education or ministry degree
* Reformed Theological Perspective
* Three years of Children’s Ministry Director experience or equivalent

Pay: From $20.
00 per hour
