Sunberry Limited is looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team.
This person will be responsible for spearheading the inbound of raw materials to the plants and outbound freight of finished goods to customers.
Directs and coordinates activities related to, and personnel assigned to the warehouse area.
Formulates storage plans and assists in maintaining inventory of finished goods.
Coordinates shipments, labeling and reconditioning activities.
Reviews pending production schedules and reports on any potential adverse impacts.
Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Maintains employee timecards and attendance records, and initiates personnel actions.
Coordinates training of new employees.
Conducts and attends regularly scheduled plant meetings.
Completes reports and all other required paperwork.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * *(Performs other assignments or duties as required.
)* * Responsible for safe and efficient production of quality Knouse products.
* Coordinates with plant personnel department and other supervisors for manning of labor slots.
* Responsible for finished goods inventory in warehouse facilities.
* Responsible for plant shipments.
* Responsible for both off- production and out-of –stock labeling activities.
* Responsible for ensuring adherence to all production practices and procedures.
* Proactively plans for pending production.
* Prepares daily production paperwork related to direct supplies usage, downtime, production case/pallet/skid counts, product and consumable losses and daily yield calculations.
* Attends weekly supervisor meetings to report on production problems and customer complaints and discuss corrective actions.
* Inspects production product for label quality on a daily basis.
* Conducts monthly safety meetings to discuss safety issues and solicit employee questions and/or comments.
* Completes work order request forms and submits to Maintenance Manager for safety, production and improvement items related to physical equipment contained in the warehouse area.
* Conducts new employee orientation to production line equipment, safety rules, facility layout and personal protective gear requirements.
* Directs and coordinates storage and movement of frozen finished products at warehouses that have freezers.
* *Contributes to the team effort by* accomplishing related results as needed.
Contributes to the Company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures, and use of resources.
* *Maintains professional and technical knowledge/skills by* using the performance appraisal system to access personal strengths and development needs to accomplish the strategic goals of the organization.
With supervisor, establishes a development plan which may include, but not limited to, attending educational classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and/or mentors and participating in professional societies.
*ADDITIONAL RESPOSIBILITIES:* * Coordinates with quality assurance for pulling of samples from warehouse inventory.
* Supports special projects, assigned by Sales, related to warehouse operations.
* Provides Engineering department with production input regarding potential Capital Improvement Projects.
* Prepares end-of-season report for warehouse area containing production improvement and cost saving suggestions.
* Responsible for production reconditioning activities.

· Possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent reading, writing, and presentation skills · Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,000.
