As we continue to grow, Nienhuis Financial Group is looking to add another Accounting Business Manager to our Kalamazoo team to build and maintain relationships with assigned clients, provide financials, provide controller services, close books that ensure client satisfaction, all under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer.

Position Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain client relationships within an existing portfolio of clients
• Design and implement business strategies and develop goals and objectives with clients that meet specific client needs and expectations
• Manages day-to-day client communications and relationships.
• Directs an internal team to address and complete needs of assigned clients
• Manages and assigns workload to meet time/date and financial goals
• Prepares and presents accounting and financial reports to clients for review
• Prepares consolidated financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheets and reports and verifying information.
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
• Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
• Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protects client’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
• BA in accounting, business administration, business management, or other related field
• 8+ years accounting experience
• 2+ years supervisory or project lead experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience
• MBA or master’s in accounting, or other related field
• 2+ years client management experience
Reading, Math, and Reasoning Skills
Strong written and oral communications, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, service focus and time management skills required.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a larger team.
