What You Will Achieve The Technical Project Manager (TPM) coordinates and manages defined projects that support the Drug Products plant.
This may include product transfer projects, new product commercialization/launch activities internal to the site, cost improvement projects, capital equipment installations, Right First-Time initiatives, and safety and compliance driven initiatives for Drug Product Operations.
How You Will Achieve It Technical Project Manager for capital projects as the counterpart to the Engineering Project Manager.
In this role the Technical Project Manager is responsible for the development of key processes and systems to organize/track and communicate initiative status to multi-disciplinary teams.
They are responsible for the planning and execution of their assigned projects, associated budgets, timelines and other project specific deliverables within the scope of the initiative/project.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
They often interface with multi-disciplinary groups internal and external to the site.
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Being part of the DP Support team, additional tasks may be added to the job scope such as Lean and Right First Time (RFT) efforts, Industrial Engineering tasks, and training efforts as needed to support the operations.
Qualifications Must-Have Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience.
OR a Bachelor's with at least 5 years of experience.
OR Master's Degree with more than 3 years of experience.
OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.
Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience and strong, demonstrated technical skills exhibited in a cGMP environment are required.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven experience using project management tools.
Nice-to-Have Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment is highly desirable.
PMP certification.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Job will include standing, walking, and sitting.
Occasional lifting may be required.
Aseptic gowning training may be required.
Job may also require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7-day operation.
