Care Team Lead
Maple Lake Assisted Living
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for shift team leadership and resident care needs for community.
Must be on premises while on duty.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Serve as ‘go-to’ resource person for team members Participate with orientation and training for care team members Foster a positive work environment and strong support for developing skills with other care team members Assure that residents are treated with kindness and respect, through mentoring and modeling appropriate care and customer service when orientating new care team members Protect residents from accidents and injuries by practicing safe work habits and safe lifting habits Be responsible for the safety of residents in the case of emergency Assist with schedule coverage needs as necessary Review and provide resident care as outlined in resident service plans Answer resident call signals, as well as door and safety alarms promptly Administer/pass medications to residents according to physician orders and policies Review and process physician orders utilizing eMAR in conjunction with pharmacy support Conduct departmental reviews/audits.
Providing results to Director of Resident Care Assure adequate medication and supply inventory for residents Observe and report non-emergent resident behavior and condition changes to Care Coordinator and/or Director of Resident Care Complete daily charting and documentation as required Follow and comply with infection control, safety, emergency and confidentiality policies and procedures Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors Remain awake and alert while on shift Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Certificates and Licenses Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
Computer Skills Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
