Seeking a dependable and reliable employee to fill immediate full-time opening for a Production Supervisor in a cast iron foundry.
Must be able to work from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm with overtime when needed.

*Starting Rate: *$27/hour, or more with experience
*Company Description: *We are a cast iron foundry—we use tooling to make sand molds that we fill with liquid iron.
The parts we make cover a wide variety of industries including power generation, material handling, and even replica parts for museums.

This position is for a supervisor responsible for managing our melt department and assisting with questions in other departments as necessary.
Supervisors are expected to work on the floor and fill in when employees are absent or need assistance.
*Job Type:* Full-Time, Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Overtime on Friday as necessary.
*Job Duties:*
The Production Supervisor oversees the Melting and Molding Departments, operates and pours the melt furnaces, and fills in where necessary.
The Supervisor:
· Trains new molders while coaching existing molders.
When necessary, the Supervisor will also assist with molding operations or maintenance of molding equipment.
May also help coordinate the molding production flow and shake-out.
· Trains new melters while coaching existing melters.
When necessary, the supervisor will also perform maintenance on melt equipment.
· Tracks inventory of melt and molding tools and supplies.
Places orders with management when necessary.
· Ensures furnaces are running and heats are being poured efficiently, including running and pouring as necessary.
· Ensures procedures and quality measures are being followed.
· Answers questions from subordinates and helps coordinate workflow.
· Moves molds, patterns, and castings with a forklift and/or hoist as necessary.
· Must be level headed, focused, and comfortable working in hot and dirty conditions.

*Qualification Requirements/Experience:*
· 5+ years of manufacturing experience needed
· 1+ years of grinding and metal finishing
· 2+ years of molding
· 2+ years of melting
· Ability to follow instructions
· Must be comfortable using computers and computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook
· Cross-training to work in multiple areas of the shop
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs
· Must have dependable transportation
· Eye for detail
· Must be able to train, coach, and discipline subordinates
· Must be able to take feedback from management and implement changes as necessary

Pay: From $27.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
