*Role and Responsibilities *
The primary role of the Warehouse Lead is to ensure that the correct materials are fed to production on-time, every time.
Supporting components of this role are as follows: Accurate and timely receipt of inbound material, identify product discrepancies to purchasing, ensure that outbound trucks are loaded correctly and on-time every day, validate truck run manifests for accuracy, maintain accurate monthly inventory counts, utilize materials so that costs are reduced and material is maximized, lead a small crew of material handlers.
To be successful in this role the individual must be able to multitask, oversee several operations and team members simultaneously, have superb time management abilities as well as strong interpersonal relationship skills.
The following list describes areas of responsibility.
It is intended to be a general outline and not an all-encompassing list.
· Safety will be at the forefront of all we do.
· Ensure that the proper amount of materials are staged at each machine/cell all throughout the day · Collaboration with other department leads will be a critical part of your success · Manage your team appropriately such that production and warehouse needs are met in a satisfactory and efficient manner.
· Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Coordinator on material needs for samples and the production of samples based on customer demand.
· Ensure that WIP area on production floor is organized and that material flows in and out of this area on a daily basis.
· Tag all product received utilizing receiving process and gold tag system.
· Make sure all material handling equipment is inspected at the beginning of every shift and proper logs are maintained.
· Work directly with the Production Manager to communicate any faulty equipment and or safety concerns.
· Manage the hours of your team such that *overtime hours are not incurred* without direct collaboration from the Production Supervisor.
· Hold your team accountable to be to work on-time, take breaks at appropriate times, move resources around to best support production.
· Quarantine and report any potentially discrepant material immediately to the Production Supervisor.
· Identify, lead, and maintain continuous improvement projects.
These projects will collaborate with our Production Supervisor.
· Complete month end inventory on time each month with a 99.
9% accuracy level or higher.
*The following areas/team members will report directly to the Warehouse Lead:* 1.
Material Handlers/Warehouse personnel/ Refuse/Recycling personnel *Qualifications and Education Requirements* The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years direct and applicable experience for this role.
The successful candidate will be fluent using a tape measure, operating various types of material handling equipment, be a leader, be willing to set the example, possess strong organization skills and have the ability to read and interpret blue prints or schematics.
*Preferred Skills * *Soft Skills:* The successful candidate must be a leader of people, be diplomatic, have excellent interpersonal relationship skills, be skilled at Emotional Intelligence, successfully navigate difficult situations, be adept at balancing the needs of the organization while being in tune with our staff, believe in and embrace the culture of the organization, strive for win-win outcomes in all situations, set the example of expectations for your team members.
*Hard Skills:* Must be effective with time management, must possess strong computer skills including the use of company specific software as well as the MS Office Suite, must be driven to capture and report out on company metrics, should have or develop fluency with all manufacturing equipment, should have fluency with MS Excel, should have a strong working knowledge of material flow through a manufacturing facility, should be fluent with and comprehend logistics, must have the ability to change direction with or without notice and do so with grace and poise, must be able to prioritize with or without guidance.

Manufacturing Personnel work Four 10-Hour days, Monday through Thursday, unless overtime is needed.
Overtime shall be worked on Friday’s in most cases.
The core hours of this role are: Monday through Thursday, 5:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
Overtime on Friday as needed.
The Warehouse Lead is expected to be at work when overtime is needed for manufacturing personnel.
