ProFarm Group (PFG) is a subsidiary of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a global provider of biologically derived fertilizers, inoculants, crop traits, adjuvants, biostimulants and pesticides, serving the ever-expanding agricultural markets.

The Mechanic is capable and willing to perform all duties associated with active maintenance program within a manufacturing environment and has sufficient initiative to perform routine daily tasks of a maintenance mechanic.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Dismantles devices to gain access and remove defective parts Repairs or replaces defective parts Adjust functional parts of devices and controls Lubricates and cleans parts and equipment Starts devices and equipment to test their performance Set up and operates drill press, grinders, welders and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts and equipment.
Maintain a set of company owned hand tools.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and is able to locate causes of trouble Examines form and texture of parts to detect defective parts Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Maintains excellent housekeeping in work areas.
Performs work with a high awareness of safety and actively supports the plant safety initiatives.
Understands Maintenance Excellence theories / concepts and will work with company programs for maintenance and reliability.
Understands and supports preventative maintenance strategies.
Works cooperatively with, Supply Chain Specialist, and Maintenance Team to successfully carry out the mission of the department.
Will follow established programs, policies and practices to support production to meet regulatory and company requirements.
Will follow all plant and company safety requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: H.
S.
Diploma or GED.
Vocational school or 2 years Industrial Maintenance Experience.
Knowledge of motors, gears, pulleys, drives, gear boxes and other mechanical equipment.
Must be able secure a forklift license.
Must have knowledge in Electrical Safe Work Practices.
Must have knowledge in Confined Space Entry Practices.
Math Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole, fraction, or decimal systems.
Knowledge of units of measure.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively between employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to read blueprints Ability assist in the development of work plans Knowledge and application of Plant & OSHA safety rules.
Knowledge and application of GMP practices.
The ability to demonstrate sound trouble-shooting techniques.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Proficient in the use of shop tools.
(grinders, drill presses and other pieces of shop machinery) Experience with arc & mig welding, oxygen, acetylene, and plasma cutting.
Be familiar with 480 volts 3 phase power, motor control circuits and able to read and understand electrical schematics.
Be familiar with the removal and installation of bearings, bushings, and seals.
Understand and have experience with all forms of mechanical motion devices including fix and variable drives · Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
· Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb unusual heights on ladders; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
· Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
· Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
· Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
