The responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are as follows:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on metal stamping machinery, including presses, die-cutting machines, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and production delays.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or equipment upgrades.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all metal stamping machinery and auxiliary equipment.
Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacement, calibration, and alignment, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
Perform inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them before they lead to unplanned downtime or safety hazards.
Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in equipment maintenance and repair activities.
Conduct risk assessments, identify safety hazards, and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks.
Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Documentation and Communication:
Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, in maintenance logs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Communicate equipment issues, maintenance schedules, and potential impacts on production to the production team and maintenance supervisor.
Collaborate with colleagues and provide technical guidance or support when required.
