Located in Plainwell, Michigan – between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo – HyTech’s state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located for jobseekers throughout the greater Southwest Michigan area.
Looking for an friendly, out-going, individual that will work with our clients and staff to generate quality ideas and products.
This person will work with those companies to ensure HyTech is producing the best parts possible meeting all the customer's needs.
They will also be the voice to staff to describe and monitor the process along the way.
*Direct Reports To Position* Quality Manager Responsibilities: · Collaborates with other engineers, designers, and staff to review the projects design, manufacturing, and test documentation; ensures that program or contract quality requirements are met.
· May meet customers, auditors, vendors or other outside plant contacts representing HyTech as an employee as required on an infrequent basis.
Employees are always expected to represent HyTech in a courteous and professional manner.
· Analyzes program quality and take corrective actions when necessary.
· Identifies customer requirements in contractual documentation and ensures the project fulfills those requirements.
· Supports assigned project or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection and implementation process.
· Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
· Conduct Supplier/Vendor 2nd-party audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
· May act in the capacity of an Internal Auditor as assigned by the Quality Manager, or assist with audits, data supplier, or problem-solving support.
· Perform Vendor/Supplier risk analysis based on 2nd-party audit results.
· Be responsible for Vendor initial qualification and evaluation and maintenance of the Approved Vendors List.
· Maintain Vendor/Supplier rating system, including records of Vendor/Supplier qualifications and compliance with HyTech requirements.
· Review Vendor/Supplier documentation to assure compliance with Customer flow-down requirements.
· Key source of statistical, quality, technical, problem solving, troubleshooting, statistics and quality concepts (i.
e.
SPC, 5S, etc) information and support to the purchasing and receiving department.
· Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including Supplier OTD (Past due), DPPM and waste.
· Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills: - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes - Knowledge of supply chain management principles - Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies - Proficiency in process engineering techniques - Ability to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot mechanical components - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams - Experience in sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background, as well as experience in supply chain management, lean manufacturing, process engineering, assembly, supplier management, and sourcing.
