Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Production
Reports to: Director – Operations and Site Leader
Position Summary
The Production Supervisor reports directly to Operations Leader and works collaboratively with Team Leads and various team members to deliver high quality product, on-time while leading continuous improvement and standardizing operating procedures/processes to achieve a safe working environment, maximize efficiencies, implement systems to achieve manufacturing success.
Sets Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics with Director of Operations to measure teams results and continually evolve the company's operational success.
Essential Job Functions Provides a physically and emotionally safe working environment promoting mutual trust and respect.
Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching for operations team in areas of safety, quality, service and cost.
Facilitates and drives continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Works collaboratively with Warehouse Supervisor to achieve optimum results and ultimate customer experience.
Maintains records and report of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in areas of on-time delivery, quality, safety, quantity of work produced.
Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and trains team members to the SOPs to ensure high quality work and safe operations.
Reviews and updates SOPs with Team Leads, Trainers and team members to ensure high level of training and development of the team.
Develops training modules and methodologies with Team Leaders, Trainers and HR to strive to deliver high level training to the team setting them up for success.
Manage and direct all personnel in production operations, fills in to lead warehouse team when Warehouse Supervisor may be out on PTO.
Ensure facility is organized, clean, sanitary and safe.
Is responsible for inspections and planned maintenance is conducted on all equipment used in Operations to ensure safety of the team and proper operations for optimum throughput.
Ensure compliance with all corporate, plant, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Reviews orders and production schedules with Production Planning Team and Customer Service to plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet production goals and strives to ensure a positive customer experience.
Engaged and participates in employee performance management by maintaining high standards, appropriate coaching/discipline, and performance management discussions with employees.
Monitor work to ensure that it is being performed properly and that materials are being used safely as intended.
Schedule and oversee repairs or preventive maintenance of equipment and facility.
Works collaboratively with Team Lead and Trainers to ensure properly trained and appropriately skilled staff.
Train new operators on the production process, details, safety, GMP and HACCP standards.
Gain high level knowledge of raw material and finished product.
Communicates with appropriate stakeholders (when applicable) in regards to work assignments, material issues, training, and personnel issues.
Complete other assignments as directed.
Minimum requirements Education: Minimum High school diploma (or GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or related field highly desired.
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing experience and 5 years’ experience in food/flavor manufacturing experience (highly preferred).
Minimum of 4 years leadership experience in manufacturing environment.
Experience in GMP environment required.
Industry Knowledge: Experience and/or knowledge of food and flavor industry preferred.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
