What You Will Achieve Performs duties required in operating a variety of equipment used in his/her assigned area of the Division, maintaining responsibility for tasks as assigned.
Dependent upon area of assignment, this may include complex chemical reactions, extractions, distillations, crystallizations, filtrations and drying operations.
Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
Equipment includes filtering equipment, reactors, and pumps.
Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations.
Processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures.
How You Will Achieve It Knowledge of basic disciplines.
Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Perform duties required in operating a variety of equipment used in the assigned area of the division, maintaining responsibility for tasks.
Identify and communicate all operating deviations and problems and take immediate action to resolve any near miss situations.
Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
Perform quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations.
Complete all documentation according to SOP and cGMP standards.
Responsible updating of Manufacturing Standard Work and Operation Standard work.
Responsible for preparation and clearing of equipment for maintenance work.
Perform material receiving, staging, material movement, dispensing, sampling, filter inspection and change out and charging operation as per Standard Operating Procedure.
Adapt successfully to shifting priorities and modifications to procedures and processes.
Qualifications Must-Have High School Diploma or GED Ability to excel in a team based and fast paced environment.
Previously completed the Pfizer Chemical Operating Program.
Certification in assigned area, if applicable.
Basic functional and technical knowledge of the discipline.
Good interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to maintain an accurate scientific notebook.
Computer Skills, such as Microsoft Applications and experience with System Application and Products.
Nice-to-Have Associate degree or higher Computer Skills, such as Microsoft Applications and experience with System Application and Products.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Physical Demands: Considerable standing, walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting and moving of containers up to 25 kg Work Environment: Use of required Safety equipment; working near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
Use of hearing and eye protection is required.
