We are searching for a reliable, innovative Production Engineering Manager to oversee industrial engineering, quality, and customer returns processes at our almost 30 person site focused on sump pumps and other plumbing products.
You’ll be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring health, safety, and quality codes are followed, training workers in the responsible use of machinery, identifying problems in the production line, troubleshooting equipment, and completing various administrative tasks for our industry leading company.
The successful candidate with 3+ years in mechanical engineering and 2+ years in management, should also have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to streamline production processes to ensure that the company’s operational and financial targets are met.
Take a look at some of the products that are made at this facility: Home | Raybend Our Products Keep Your Basement Dry What You’ll Be Doing Managing the work (or workflow) for the Quality, Customer Returns, and Maintenance associates while leading associates to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
Supervising the manufacturing set-up processes - ensuring quality work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
Designing new equipment, procedures, and systems for industrial purposes.
Liaising with other engineers and departments - collaborating to develop plans that enhance production, reduce costs, and optimize labor.
Diagnosing problems in the production line - providing recommendations and training to address issues.
Establishing safety procedures and protocols - prioritizing worker well-being and minimizing the carbon footprint.
Performing or supervising routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Keeping up with advancements in engineering and production and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Identifying, documenting, reporting, and correcting unsafe practices to ensure a safe work environment.
Ensuring clear communication practices among the team and stakeholders Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
Experience with and maintaining calibrating pneumatic tools.
Experience/Education Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

3+ years of experience in engineering with 2+ years managing others Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant years of experience Experience with CAD software like Solidworks.
Six Sigma Certification (Preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make decisions under pressure.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
