Job Description
Your Challenge
As a Project Engineer with Mann+Hummel, you will spearhead innovative engineering projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and actively contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives, providing a dynamic and exciting environment for your professional growth and development.
Manage and oversee assigned engineering projects, cost tracking, resource assessment, and deadline fulfillment
Analyze new design proposals for manufacturability and compatibility with current operations
Generate cost estimates for manufacturing-specific prototype and production-related tooling and equipment
Manage and control the project-specific tooling and equipment budget, providing regular status reports
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and regularly communicate progress to key stakeholders
Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for timely delivery of components and services
Utilize project management tools and methodologies for tracking and reporting project status, addressing deviations from the plan
Perform engineering analysis and design tasks to support project objectives
Review project development status with assigned customer contacts
Conceptualize and design future manufacturing layouts, researching options for process flow, product assembly, and equipment procurement
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
Your Profile
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of three years' related experience is preferred
Required Skills:
Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices
Preferred Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience in the automotive or filtration industry
Knowledge of CAD software for design and analysis
Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
