The Project Manager (PM) will oversee daily construction activites.
The work may consist of new construction, retrofit, renovations, remodel, process improvement, maintenance, facilities, infrastructure projects and/or construction turnaround and shutdowns.
The PM must posses leadership and management qualities; both are required to successfully deliver projects.
*Duties and Responsibilities *
* Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise.
* Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements.
* Gathers and documents requirements for new construction or significant renovation projects.
* Provides direction to professional services contractors to ensure designs meet project requirements and professional standards.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects and other workers in the same project.
* Prepares or reviews detailed project plans including materials, timelines, budget; identifies and resolves problems.
* Provides information on project status to building occupants and leadership.
* Ensures all project documents are updated and accurate.
* Schedule, coordinate and oversee crews and resources to provide service on active projects to include subcontractors.
* Maintain written communication with customers, teammates, vendors, and insurance representatives.
* Manage production expense including equipment, vehicles, and other material assets.
* Proficiently interprets and understands P&ID's, drawings, specifications and other relevant construction documents.
* Manages the quality of installations and their conformity to applicable construction documents.
* Validates change orders and any work tickets.
* Sequences work schedules to mitigate potential delays and identifies schedule risks.
* General safety supervision and awareness.
* Oversee the seamless function of construction administration duties and the up-to-date flow of project documents and information to required parties.
* Provides director with regular updates, notifies them of issues and communicates regularly to keep them informed.
* Supervise all personnel at the site through subordinate leaders.
Manages project indirect overhead budgets, change control and T&M work validation.
* Monitors performance, progress and manpower issues; resolves as necessary.
