* *Essential Functions and Responsibilities:* * Develop and implement measurable goals, objectives, policies, procedures, plans and systems pertaining to Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
* Assures consistent quality of raw materials, manufactured products and intermediates.
* Defines and updates inspection plans for raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
* Trains and manages quality laboratory personnel.
Plans, organizes and supervises all laboratory work.
* Develops SOPs to inspect, test and evaluate raw materials, finished products and intermediates.
* Manages the laboratory equipment calibration program.
* Monitors and controls laboratory budget.
* Participates with Manager and Plant Manager in the preparation of the annual department budget.
* Develops and maintains raw material supplier agreements.
* Oversees release of raw materials for production and finished products.
Downgrades, raw materials and finished products deemed unsatisfactory and recommend corrective actions to the manufacturing team.
* Manages all customer complaints related to manufacturing non-conformances and ensures timely inspection of finished products returned to the plant.
* Reports and participates in the investigation of non-conformities in collaboration with the manufacturing team.
* Monitors and expedites resolution of non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
* Manages all raw material non-conformances and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
* Actively collaborates and supports the production team including training, production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitors, updates and communicates quality dashboards to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
* Represents the plant during internal and external quality audits.
* Supports the manufacturing team during the incorporation of new products and processes into production.
* Identifies opportunities for improvement and cost saving initiatives.
* Plans and performs special laboratory analysis as requested by the Manager or Plant Manager.
* Maintains a clean and professional environment.
Ensures laboratory work areas are always cleaned, organized and safe.
* Comply with all safety, health, and regulatory compliance laws and policies.
* Special projects as outlined by Manager.
*Responsibilities In the QHSE Management Program:* * Implements and maintains the Quality Management Program; * Monitors and reports effectiveness of the Quality Program to Manager, Plant Manager, and other U.

Quality Managers.
* Acts as plant representative with regard to the Quality Management Program; * Ensures that requirements and procedures of the Quality Management Program, which are applicable to this position, as well as those of employees under direct supervision, are respected and followed; * Advises Plant Manager of any situation or incident that could affect the Quality Management Program or product quality; *Minimum Qualifications:* * Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality management role.
* Demonstrates exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
* Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and have a demonstrated orientation to teamwork principles.
* An action/results oriented individual, with strict attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.
