Today Mercury Broadband's rapidly expanding network is headquartered in Kansas City and provides Internet access to communities throughout five states across the Midwest.
Position Summary: The Project Manager (PM) position at Mercury Broadband assists in the planning, implementing, and executing wireless and fiber deployment plans and tower build strategies.
This individual will serve a wide range of company needs; accelerate productivity and company profits through support and recommendations.
The position is primarily accountable for the organization, planning and deployment of company expansion plans, and executing plans for awarded project funding and the requirements and timelines.
The primary role of the PM is to act as the single point of contact for all Wireless and Fiber construction project requirements and deliverables in all markets.
The PM's role involves working with RF Data Sheets, Construction drawings, notes, and various other build requirements.
In addition, PMs ensure the accuracy of materials, labor, and overall costs to ensure Mercury Broadband's Gross Margins and Direct Project Costs (DPCs) are met.
The PM reports to Local Market General Manager.
Location: Kalamazoo MI Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive Pay Benefits: Health, Vision, Basic Dental & Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401k, Paid Time Off, Paid Training Key Responsibilities: Creating long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed Assist with land/building acquisitions, leasing, and site locations required for telecommunications installations.
Preparation of Landlord and tower company Lease applications Oversee the completion of Zoning and Permit applications for submittal to jurisdictions and coordinate the zoning process with outside counsel and vendors Work directly with Wireless and Fiber Project Managers and assist in all aspects of various projects Quality control, data entry, and tracking of Site Candidate Packages, Lease Agreements, and other Site Acquisition documentation Manage the coordination, scheduling, and tracking of site visits and technical team visits with various departments Obtain Landlord approval on Construction Drawings and zoning/permit applications Prepare and update site status reports/databases, site close-out packages, and attend meetings as required Skills and Requirements: Proven leadership skills Cost and risk management skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to make important decisions under pressure Problem-solving skills Ability to delegate effectively A strong communicator and a great listener, enabling you to interact effectively with other PM’s, clients, landlord and vendors.
A work ethic to drive projects and tasks to finish on time, overcoming any obstacles along the way The expertise to solve problems, drawing on your experience and using existing resources Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Experience using Construction Management Software such as Site Tracker or Vitruvi.
Experience Requirements: 4+ years Wireless construction industry experience High level understanding of equipment, methodology, processes, and terminology as it relates to telecom construction requirements.
2+ years hands-on experience with managing large application projects 2+ years of backbone infrastructure components including LTE or microwave backhaul.
Includes but is not limited to FCC requirements, spectrum requirements, licensed microwave requirements, tower site build requirements.
