Job Title: Process Technician
Reports to: Engineer Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Salary: $27/hour
Schedule: Swing Shift 7a-7p.
(The shift is 12 hours, rotating weekends; one week the schedule is 36 hours, the next week the schedule is 48 hours).
Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced Process Technician to support our manufacturing processes.
As a Process Technician, you will be working in a manufacturing team on the factory floor where you will monitor and adjust processes, test batch quality working with our Quality Department, maintain equipment logbooks, ensure the area is clean, and report any machine faults to shift supervision and via Maintenance Job Ticket.
To ensure success, you should have keen observation skills, experience with industrial equipment design, and the ability to stand for long periods.
The Process Technician must be able to identify repeat faults and suggest manufacturing improvements to increase production throughput.
Responsibilities
Identifying and monitoring production machine parameters.
Monitoring and testing product/batch quality.
Ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Identifying machine faults and production rate errors.
Maintaining production logbooks.
Reporting faults and breakdowns to supervisors and production engineers.
Maintaining a clean and safe production area.
Assist Team Members to adhere to TekModo safety protocols.
Follow all procedures regarding equipment adjustment, maintenance, and tooling changeovers.
Identifying areas of production that can be improved.
Create and modify Operator Instructions and Process Flows.
FANUC robot touch-ups / homing
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
3+ years' experience as a process technician in a high-speed throughput industry.
Excellent analytical and observational skills
Sound knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical processes
Advanced report-writing skills.
Utilizing Power BI for data analysis scorecards.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Physical Demands
On occasion, the employee is required to handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Regular use of mezzanine steps and ladders to access equipment.
Ability to work shifts and possibly nights.
Comfortable working in a noisy and hot environment.
(with appropriate PPE)
Ability to stand for extended periods.
