POSITION: Fennville Elementary Daycare CAREGIVER (Part-time)
POSTING PERIOD: January 3, 2024 – until filled
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma minimum.
Exceptional human relations skills, including demonstration of confidence, compassion, and the ability to relate to/work with both students and staff.
Positive work history, including excellent record of attendance.
Willingness to learn.
Must meet all applicable Michigan Department of Human Services requirements, including certification in Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (training available).
Bilingual preferred
REPORTS TO: Beth Ayotte, Elementary Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:
Provide one-to-one and/or group care, interaction, supervision, and instruction under the guidance of program director and/or lead caregiver.
Assist in the implementation of research-based “best practices: activities, objectives, and strategies that prepare and support school success for students in the program.
Ability to be self-directed and take initiative when given a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Interact with children both indoors and outdoors to ensure safety and participate in child-initiated play.
Help create, monitor, and maintain a safe, orderly, productive environment conducive to learning and student growth while respecting individual student needs.
Assist program director and lead caregiver in carrying out objectives of the program.
Work and engage with children ages 30 months - 11 years old in a Child Care Center.
TERM OF EMPLYMENT:
Employee must pass criminal background check and have fingerprinting done.
May also be required to pass Praxis Assessment.
Hourly pay in accordance with the aide wage for FPS.
Monday – Friday 2:00 p.
m.
– 6:00 p.
m.
